Archie S, Fourth Form at Milton Abbey School completed the Mount Kenya Classic Race over half-term. This race is no easy feat, with its challenging terrain and diverse landscapes.
Starting with a tough uphill stretch up Mount Kenya at 10,000 feat, Archie pushed through thin air and descended into moorlands, farm tracks, wheat fields, and the stunning Ngara Ndara forest - home to elephants and buffalo.
Even after racing a puncture, Archie showed incredible determination, finishing 50th place overall but second in the under-16 category! He completed the race in 5.5 hours in the hot savannah at 4000 feet.
Not only did Archie conquer this physical challenge, but the race also supported the Mount Kenya Trust with Tropic Air as the main sponsor.
