Congratulations to the Year 11 GCSE students at St Augustine’s Priory, Ealing Catholic Independent school for girls, who have achieved excellent results in their GCSE examinations. An outstanding 43% of all grades were 8-9 and 65% of all grades were 7-9.
Headteacher, Mrs Macallister, commented, ‘I am enormously proud of all our students who have achieved these superb results. It has been wonderful to celebrate this academic success with the students, their families and teachers today, hearing how much the students have valued the dedicated support of our community to enable them to reach their full potential’.
Lucia, one of several students with outstanding results at St Augustine’s Priory, who has achieved all grade 9s in her eleven GCSEs, was delighted with her results saying, 'I’ve been at the school since Nursery and want to thank my teachers, I couldn’t have done it without them'. Lucia is looking forward to studying Chemistry, Physics and Maths A levels at St Augustine’s. Bella, who achieved all 8s and 9s, was delighted with her results and commented that she had 'worked really hard but the teachers knew just what it took to help me perform to the best of my ability’.
Congratulations must also go to Year 9 students who gained their Higher Project Qualification today, with 38% achieving A*/A. Enhancing intellectual curiosity across the school is a priority at St Augustine’s Priory and Year 9’s achievements at their HPQs (the equivalent to half a GCSE) are representative of the programme of additional qualifications offered by the school from Year 7.
These results follow the first-rate A Level results announced last week.
