To support the Foundation, King’s has gifted Worcester Warriors Foundation staff jointly branded kit, as well as providing safe spaces for delivery of initiatives including wheelchair rugby, which takes place every week in School’s Sports Hall.
Worcester Warriors Foundation is also working closely with King’s to provide work placement opportunities for students so they can learn more about working with people who have complex individual needs and those who come from isolated and disadvantaged backgrounds.
As part of the collaboration, Worcester Warriors Foundation recently welcomed representatives from King’s School Council to their facilities in Severn Street to get involved in some inclusive sport and to learn more about the Foundation’s work.
Carol Hart, CEO Worcester Warriors Foundation, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with King’s Worcester. There has never been a more important time to pull together to support our community; people who struggle every day to overcome physical and mental barriers.”
The Foundation supports people who are isolated, disengaged, disadvantaged, living with a range of disabilities or conditions, and those who have individual and complex needs. The Worcester Warriors Foundation’s mission is to make physical activity available to everyone who wants to participate regardless of ability, and to support positive mental wellbeing.
