Prep 6: Surf, Sand, and Celebration in North Devon
Prep 6 pupils marked the end of their Prep School journey in true style with a three-day adventure in North Devon. Arriving proudly in their Leavers hoodies, the group embraced a packed schedule designed to build resilience, confidence, and camaraderie.
From surfing and coasteering to buggy building and mountainboarding, pupils took on each activity with enthusiasm and determination. Water-based challenges tested their teamwork and courage, while evening campfires and shared stories added a special sense of celebration to the trip.
“This was more than just a residential—it was a celebration of all they have achieved and a chance to make lasting memories before moving on,” said Head of Prep, Mr Richard Thompson. “We are incredibly proud of how they embraced every challenge.”
Prep 5: Team Spirit and Courage at Mill on the Brue
Meanwhile, Prep 5 pupils embarked on their highly anticipated residential to Mill on the Brue in Somerset. Set in stunning countryside, the adventure centre provided the perfect backdrop for three days of outdoor learning and personal growth.
From climbing and canoeing to the exhilarating Leap of Faith, the children threw themselves into each activity with enthusiasm and determination. One of the most memorable moments included problem-solving challenges while blindfolded, which tested not only their communication skills but their trust in one another.
Pupils also got hands-on with shooting, tunnelling, and various team challenges, where they encouraged and supported each other every step of the way. The evenings were just as special, with a group walk through the beautiful surroundings followed by a well-earned treat: hot chocolates all round!
The residential provided an incredible opportunity for the children to grow in confidence, deepen friendships, and make lasting memories—all while having an enormous amount of fun.
