St James Senior Boys’ School is enthusiastic and proud of their students’ A Level results.
Significant individual achievements include Rahul S who received an A* and two As, Arun R and Karol Y who achieved two As and one B. Other notable results are Barnaby L, Bart N and Ritchie R who gained As and two Bs.
One student in particular, Ivan Z, was a student who joined St James after fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. Ivan took his exams in what was his third language and achieved ABD – a significant achievement.
When speaking to the students, Gus O who achieved all As said: “I’m heading to University of Exeter to study Mechanical Engineering. St James has given me so many opportunities and helped me to really be myself, as well as motivating me to succeed. My teachers have been supportive throughout my time at the school and I’m looking forward to what university life has to bring.”
Furthermore, Charlie K who is going to University of Stirling to study Economics said: “St James has supported me through some very challenging times, and I can’t thank them enough for all their support, both personally and academically. I’ll cherish this wonderful school, the life-long friends I’ve made, the support and care I’ve been given from the teachers – they’ve just been amazing.”
This year, students received a 99% pass rate with 21% A*-A and 42% A*-B results, and a pleasing 76% A*-C. These results highlight students’ dedication to their studies, the excellent support of teachers and the school’s great pastoral care provision.
The leaving Headmaster, David Brazier, said: “Congratulations to all our students who have worked diligently for the last two years, and we wish them the very best through the next stage of their education.”
