Surbiton High School is proud to announce another year of outstanding GCSE results, highlighting our pupils' hard work and dedication, alongside the committed body of exceptional teaching staff. The 2024 cohort has achieved remarkable success, with 46% of all grades awarded at the highest level of Grade 9. Over 91% of all grades were awarded a Grade 7 or above and 100% of grades were Grade 9-4.
Particular congratulations go to the 31 pupils who achieved 8 or more Grade 9s at GCSE and the 113 pupils who achieved 8 or more Grade 7s or above.
Academic excellence has shone through in core subjects with over 54% of English Literature, and 68% of English Language results at Grade 9. In Maths, 40% of pupils achieved a Grade 9, with 93% pupils achieving a Grade 9-7. In the sciences, over 46% of Biology, Chemistry and Physics results were at Grade 9.
The creative subjects are also thriving with 100% of Dance, 98% of Design & Technology (Graphics, Product Design and Textiles), 94% of Drama, 93% of Music, 85% of Photography, and 80% of Art grades being awarded a Grade 9-7. Furthermore, our languages all achieved over 88% at Grade 9-7.
The majority of our pupils are continuing their studies at Surbiton High School, where they will embrace a diverse range of 32 A-level subjects.
