Over 91% will be heading off to their first-choice university and further to this we have maintained our success rate of successful applications to Russell Group and Times Top 10 Universities, and medical or dental schools with 95% of students heading to these prestigious destinations. This is despite a more challenging year for competitive entry courses. The remainder of our students are heading off to study at international universities and some of the most prestigious drama schools, conservatoires and art colleges.
Specific subject highlights include eight subjects (German, Latin, Philosophy, Dance, D&T Product Design, Music, Drama & Theatre Studies and Russian) which all achieved 100% A*-A. A further 15 subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Politics, English Literature, Fine Art, French, Spanish, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Geography, Physical Education) all achieved over 70% of all results at A*-A.
Six students are going to study at Oxbridge – Anna T is reading Education, English, Drama and the Arts at Homerton College, Cambridge; Ava L will be reading History at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford; Jade P – Human, Social and Political Science at Emmanuel College, Cambridge; Poppy D – French and (ab initio) Italian at Girton College, Cambridge; Niamh?T – Education, Policy and International Development at Homerton College, Cambridge and Lauren K – Engineering at Peterhouse, Cambridge.
A specific mention to our 22 students who achieved three or more straight A* grades at A-level – well done to Natasha B, Elektra D-S, Lucy E, Sophie E, Sophie H, Abi H, Isobel J, Mary K, Hannah L, Ava L, Yasmin L-C, Bianca L, Alyssa M, Catrin M, Evie P, Ella P, Maia R-M, Aimee R, Ella R, Olivia R, Jasmine T, and Harriet W.

These students leave Surbiton High School, not only with the grades they need for their next steps but fully equipped for their future ahead of them through the amazing support of our well-being, academic, careers and UCAS teams. They have discovered their passions and interests through an amazing array of subjects and co-curricular opportunities during their time at Surbiton High School and they can now embark on their next steps fully prepared.”
