Students at Claremont Fan Court School in Esher, Surrey were delighted to receive record-breaking A level results today. With 85% of entries graded A*, A or B and 61% of entries being graded A* or A. This exceeds even those grades achieved in the last two years under teacher and centre assessed grades. Results were truly outstanding with an average grade profile of A,A,B.
Headmaster, William Brierly, said ‘Our sixth form students have achieved these remarkable grades through their excellent work ethic and commitment - we are so proud of them - their results are record-breaking by some margin.’
Particularly exciting is the quality of university and career destinations Claremont students are moving onto, with a large number heading off to Russell Group universities including Bristol, Durham, KCL and Exeter and others taking up much sought-after apprenticeships at companies such as Meta and Barclays.
Sixth formers have been supported by a continual, robust teacher-assessed grades process and have enjoyed the use of the dedicated sixth form centre which was completed in 2019. The sixth form experience at Claremont is about so much more than results and destinations, however, and families recognise that Claremont will go the extra mile for students. This is particularly the case in a results week where Claremont teachers are on hand to give the advice and support needed at this crucial moment.
